Hosting ETSG

Future Dates
The ETSG Annual Conference is always organised on predetermined dates due to numerous related events for trade economists that are organised directly before and afterwards. Future ETSG Annual Conferences will be organised on the following dates:
ETSG 2026 EXETER: September 10-12
ETSG 2027: September 9-11
ETSG 2028: September 14-16
ETSG 2029: September 13-15
ETSG 2030: September 12-14
ETSG 2031: September 11-13
General Requirements
The annual conference takes place from the afternoon of Thursday to the evening of Saturday. The number of participants is unknown, but plans should be made for around 350. We expect the structure of the conference to be similar to that of recent years (see Past Conferences).
The host institution has to be able to:
- provide at least six, preferably seven, rooms for parallel sessions;
- offer one large room for plenary sessions with a capacity exceeding 300;
- equip each room with a PC and a data projector;
- arrange catering for coffee breaks and lunches;
- supply drinks and snacks for a reception on at least one evening;
- provide a conference dinner on at least one evening;
- create local webpages supporting the conference, including local conference, travel, and hotel information, as well as managing conference registrations;
- handle the collection of the registration fee (currently €100 per participant, with €10 per participant transferred to ETSG for overhead costs, allowing local organizers to budget €90 per participant based on the conference fee); securing additional local sponsorship is recommended.
